Calvin O’Connor

Calvin is a soon to be out-of-high school intern who has been attending events at the Sanctuary sporadically since the fall of 2013 to help out with filming events and other odd jobs. He discovered this wondrous, mystical establishment from the internship program at his high school, and ever since he has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the community, with so many new people to meet with common interests. It’s also probably the healthiest he’s ever eaten while he’s been here. It was so intriguing to see a wide spectrum of music events and presentations at the Sanctuary, ranging from a Scottish rock band to an African hip-hop artist, to even a pioneer of the cinema verité documentaries.  It’s also probably the healthiest he’s ever eaten while he’s been here.  Calvin decided to intern here to get more professional and real-world experience for the filmmaking world, because it is what he is going to study at Ithaca College in the fall of 2014.
This is the first place that Calvin has ever worked on a professional camera crew with such a high-end recording and communication setup.  It has taught him many valuable lessons like to pay close attention to the director, to make important connections, and to record EVERYTHING on video when possible. He would be thrilled to come back and work in between college semesters.
