HMM 06 – 11 – 21

Today, on the Hudson Mohawk Magazine,
First, Mark Dunlea gives an overview of the recently concluded 2021 legislative session, with a focus on climate change, single payer health care and criminal justice reforms.
Then, on Reclaiming History, Lovonia Mallory interviews Egyptologist Dr. Solange Ashby, author of Calling Out to Isis: The Enduring Nubian Presence at Philae.
After that, Paul Smart brings us coverage of the Albany Mayoral debate, in which incumbent Kathy Sheehan faced off against the Rev. Valerie Faust and Republican candidate Alicia Purdy
Then, HMM’s Corinne Carey speaks with Marketa Edwards, who is running to represent District 6 on Troy’s City Council.
And to close out the show, Moses Nagel takes a trip to his local library and speaks with Deanna DiCarlo and Lauren Cardinal, a few of the librarians who have kept the library going through the pandemic.
