HMM 6 – 16 – 2020

Hello Capital Region! This is the Hudson Mohawk Magazine, broadcasting from the Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy, NY.

Up first we hear from voices of those who attended the Black Lives Matter march held in Cohoes.

We hear from representatives of international firm, BioHiTech, which is proposing and planning to build a new solid waste facility in the City of Rensselaer, despite a moratorium in the county.

And later on, Dr. Meg Davis talks about her book that explores the intentional failure to account for whole groups of marginalized people and how it impacts decisions about public health.

After that, HMM Correspondent Danica Cantrell interviews JD, owner of “Mindful Intentions”, a local business in Troy.

Finally, Hudson Mohawk Magazine correspondent Erika Diggs speaks with protestors from Troy’s historic Rally for Black Lives. But first some headlines.
