Hello Capital Region! This is the Hudson Mohawk Magazine on WOOC-LP 105.3 FM Troy, WOOS-LP 98.9 FM Schenectady, WOOA-LP 106.9 FM Albany, and WCAA-LP 107.3 FM Albany, broadcasting from The Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy.

We start off the show talking with Alice Green, director of the Center for Law and Justice, about the Center’s new report calling for the City of Albany to take steps to address systemic racism in the City.

Then, on Reclaiming History, Lovonia Mallory speaks with Ahmad Ward, executive director of Historic Mitchellville Freedom Park in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

After that, Elizabeth Press speaks with Bryan MacCormack of the Columbia County Sanctuary Movement about COVID 19 in detention centers and mutual aid.

Then, on Upstate Housing, Michele Maserjian speaks with Joyce Love, City of Albany Common Council Member about senior services and the pandemic.

And then to close out the show, Aileen Javier speaks with psychotherapist Dr. Laurie Nadel on her new book The Five Gifts: Discovering Hope, Healing, and Strength When Disaster Strikes.
