HMM 8 – 26 – 19

Today, we hear from biologist Dr. Sandra Steingraber about the upcoming, global Student Climate Strike which will take place from September 20th to 27th.

Then, we have more coverage from the Rally to Shut Down Detention Centers that occured on August 8th in Glens Falls, New York.

And later on, we hear from Branda Miller, professor of Media Arts and the Arts & Education Coordinator for the Sanctuary for Independent Media, in conversation with Mikaela Clark-Gardner on the topic of participatory education.

After that, we have an interview by Enrique Johnson who spoke with Lauren Wesson and Peter Potter of the Albany-Stratton Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

And we’ll end off the show with a piece by Willie Terry, in which he interviews Doug Bullock of the Solidarity Committee of the Capital District about their “Annual Labor Day Picnic & Celebration.” — But first, let’s have some headlines!
