Today we are discussing the recent hearing in Albany County to expand restrictions on the use of Styrofoam at restaurants.

Then, we hear from students Tatiyana Scott and Cinthia Solis Augilar, of the University at Albany Department of Latin American, Caribbean and U.S. Latino Studies talk about race, class and cultural identity

HMM correspondent Meghan Marohn sat down with Jun-san Yasuda to discuss her planning of a ceremony to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Afterwards, WOOC Labor Talk Host and Roaming Correspondent Willie Terry gives us a special report of the Poor People’s Campaign 40 Days Protest from Albany to Washington.

Then NATURE Lab correspondent Julia Cavicchi recorded an evening with Albany’s Poets in the Park series. The poetry centered on issues of environmental justice, including readings from poets of the eco-justice anthology titled Ghost Fishing.
