HMM 1 – 11 – 2018

Today we hear from labor activist and WOOC correspondent Willie Terry about the importance of Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and the relationship between labor activism and civil rights.
Then, we hear from WOOC correspondent H. Bosh Jr. with his segment Education, Empowerment and Entrepreneurship. He sat down with speaker, publisher and author Shari Quinn.
Afterwards, we are joined by local poet and educator Avery Stempel, a psycho-spiritual philosopher poet.
Then we are joined by our WOOC youth interns Lauryn Wilson and Traevon Vautrin. Lauryn discusses her relationship with reading the autobiography Assata by Assata Shakur and her ideas on the importance of art, truthfulness, and compassion.
Traevon gives us an update on his newspaper TV News and provide a local community calendar.
