Who knows the challenges your communities face better than you?!?! Set the record straight and participate in Trojan HerStories!
Saturday AND Sunday, December 11 and 12 (childcare provided). 1-5pm both days
In this 2-day workshop you and your community group members will create a 3-5 minute Digital Story about women’s work in your community.
Tell the tale of your Sheros. Community women work hard but all too often our/their contributions go unrecorded and over-looked. Trojan HerStories is an opportunity to honor the accomplishments of your sisters.Tell herstory as you know it.
Day 1- You will learn what digital storytelling is and how it can be used. Collectively you will write a story about your organization and record narration.
Day 2 – You will collect, scan and organize images you have collected to illustrate your story. Then, combine sound and image to create your Herstory!
Once completed, the Trojan Herstories work will be compiled, posted on the web, and screened to the community in various Capital Region venues. Your work will be submitted to air on local community television stations and the Sanctuary.tv website.
