George Stoney 90th Birthday Bash

The Sanctuary for Independent Media celebrates a living legend, the one and only George Stoney, one of America’s greatest documentary filmmakers! Stoney has been making films since 1946, and was one of the early advocates of using video as a tool for social change. The screenings will take place over two evenings with the themes Urban Renewal, on October 25th, and Prison Action on October 26th, 2006. Each evening will feature a potluck with George Stoney.
We are committed to lowering the barriers to access for events at The Sanctuary for Independent Media. For people who are hard of hearing or deaf, blind or low-vision, or whose physical limitations can interfere with a satisfying experience, let us know two weeks in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements.
