Join us as we celebrate the release of Leah Penniman’s new book, Farming While Black. The Black Kreyol educator, farmer/peyizan, author, and food justice activist from Soul Fire Farm in Grafton, NY exposes a global network of farmers working to increase farmland stewardship by people of color, restore Afro-indigenous farming practices, and end food apartheid.
Penniman will share the stage with others from the remarkably talented Soul Fire community including: Taina Asili, DJ Trumaster, Naima Penniman of Climbing Poetree, Amani O., donfons, Jordan Hill, Ada Harper and others.
