Be The Media! Workshop with Jim de Séve: Video Camera Boot Camp

This hands-on lab, designed to improve your shooting skills, is back by popular demand! Go off automatic, learn the art of covering the action, and engage in the unique potential of the camera. Bring a video camera if you have one – but it is not necessary. For adults and teens, with veteran documentary filmmaker and educator Jim de Séve, an award-winning documentary producer and director. He teaches film production classes at Union College.
Be The Media! workshops teach multimedia skills to community members in order to develop urgently needed independent local voices. Our goal is to empower the public through independent media making, supplying them with the tools to tell their own stories through different mediums of media including video, radio and journalism.
We are committed to lowering the barriers to access for events at The Sanctuary for Independent Media. For people who are hard of hearing or deaf, blind or low-vision, or whose physical limitations can interfere with a satisfying experience, let us know two weeks in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements.
