"Digital Storytelling" is the last workshop in our spring 2008 "Be The Media!" series. It will take place a week from Sunday (on June 1) between 1 and 5 PM.
This workshop will be taught by veteran NYC documentary makers and media educators Jen Wager and Devorah Hill.
If you have a short story you want to tell, and have been wanting to learn simple digital tools to turn your photographs, writings, and/or video footage into a coherent and well-structured multimedia piece, then this workshop is for you! Love stories, s/hero stories, recovery stories, coming of age stories… everyone has a story to tell. Learn to tell yours with these techniques and make it look good.
Jen and Devorah are wonderful teachers with an abundance of experience in community media production. This promises to be a great workshop, so if you want to hone your media skills, sign up today! Youth participation is encouraged, but participants under 13 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The workshop fee is $50, with low/fixed income scholarships available. There is a cap of ten people and pre-registration is required. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for info on scholarships and other questions. Check www.MediaSanctuary.org/workshops for details!
